HOLO-IR Infrared Scene Projection
The HOLO-IR is a portable low-power and large format scene projector device that can create realistic and high-resolution infrared (IR) images that appear 3-dimensional and holographic in any environment. It uses proprietary phosphor-converted LEDs that can be customized to a wide range of night vision goggles (NVGs) and systems (Gen 1, Gen 2, Gen 3) while delivering high levels of IR brightness visible to both high-end and low-end IR detectors, including low-cost night vision CMOS CCTV security cameras. Scene projector image size can vary from as small as few inches up to virtually any life-size image and video by combining and synchronizing several units together.
The HOLO-IR scene projection technology is ideal for training in the use of NVGs and for testing a wide range of infrared sensor, focal plane arrays, and detection technologies in the NIR/SWIR spectral range. Unlike traditional immersive infrared simulators and scene projectors that involve simulating a complete scenery in the IR, the holographic nature and portability of the HOLO-IR system enables placement into a given environment in order to utilize the natural IR background present. This helps create a more realistic infrared imagery and scenery that blends with the constantly changing background in real-time.
IR Scene Projection Applications include:
– Testing, evaluation, and performance comparison of:
Night vision goggles, IR scopes, infrared sensors, CCTV and low light level security cameras
– Indoor/Outdoor field training in the use of night vision technology by:
Police, military, industry, and the private sector (security, hunting, etc.)
-Medical & biological imaging, therapy, and infrared thermography
Monitoring biological activity and testing various systems employed for aerial & vegetation/soil mapping. Scene projection for industrial thermography and remote sensing devices used in manufacturing for aerospace, automotive, electronics, mechanical, chemical, etc.
-Entertainment & movie production
Projection of holographic imagery and scenes invisible to the human eye but visible to cameras.
-Animal training & control
Creating and projecting images visible to animals capable of seeing infrared light and doing so without disrupting human nighttime activities and vision.
-Scene Projection of Infrared Decoys & Countermeasures
Undermining and/or evaluating the effectiveness of various IR sensing and imaging systems.
