The unique LED engine design enables several degrees of freedom for power and color wavelength customization. Not only can the remote phosphor element be replaced but the internal LED pump sources can also be replaced enabling spectral coverage anywhere from the UVC to the infrared. The use of a remote phosphor plate also transforms the pixelated and non-uniform LED emission profile into a uniform Lambertian emitter that can be built into different sizes and shapes then coupled to external optics. The use of a remote phosphor plate not only enables a higher degree of color control and high color quality, but it has been shown to reduce the overall thermal load on the LED system leading to higher conversion efficiencies and longer lifetimes.
We can offer affordable custom LED engines and modules for applications ranging from solar simulators to hydroponics. Using remote phosphor technology, the modules can also be built with a removable phosphor element that can be replaced on-demand depending on the application. Custom LED engines can be single channel or they can be designed and built to be color tunable over multiple channels. The LED modules can replace COB LED engines in existing commercial or prototype fixtures and be attached directly to a heat sink using a backside aluminum plate. A wide range of power levels are available anywhere from 1 Watt to over 20 Watts.
